Emma & Matt - Swancar Farm Country House Wedding

It’s been a while - a very long while! I haven’t written a blog since the summer. It was the busiest summer on record for me and that continued until well into the back end of 2019! I guess you could say things are a little calmer as the first wedding fairs of 2020 approach. It’s time to get my typing fingers out and write me some blogs! On my last count I’ve got 8 weddings in my ‘‘to blog’’ folder and here’s the first

Emma & Matt’s stupendously gorgeous wedding at Swancar Farm Country House - I’m taking us back to the warmth of those long summer August days. August for me is always the busiest month of the year. I spend most of it shooting weddings, recovering then shooting more weddings. Its a non stop month of work that constantly builds up and culminates into an editing fest in September and October!

Emma & Matt booked me after visiting my stand at the Swancar farm fair 18 months before their big day and couldn’t wait for their day to arrive!

We’ll start at The Old Stables for prep. Bloody love starting prep here. Beats having to travel to a brides house to start the prep and then having to travel to Swancar to finish it off. It’s great having a starting point attached to the venue. Mean's there’s very little to worry about once you’re there. No travelling and not to mention its stunningly gorgeous in there.

The weather is perfect - Sunshine with a little of bit of cloud, no rain and and no wind. perfect conditions. The girls’ prep is finished off in Swancar’s old bridal suite as the guys arrive along with Emma & Matts two boys! I whisk the guys outside for some quick snaps before heading back to the final parts of Emma’s prep.

Ceremony time quickly arrives and after a quick interview with the registrars, Emma takes her final steps as a miss through the beautiful Oak Hall and awaits to climb the stairs to become a Mrs.

The time has arrived - Emma ascends the gallery staircase and takes that first look down the aisle towards Matt. She reaches the end of the aisle where Matt lifts up the veil and we’re under way!!

After what was a gorgeously emotional ceremony for everyone it’s off to the reception for drinks and canapes oh and a few photos!!

Love Swancar this time of year - the wheat in the fields is nearly ready to be harvested and the fields are stunningly golden! One hell of a beautiful backdrop

The speeches arrive not long after the wedding breakfast finishes and they we’re bloody amazing! One of Emma & Matt’s boys starting them off and getting himself a standing ovation! Always love it when the best men bring out the projector - always a squeeky bum moment for the groom!

The night is topped off with probably the one the greatest dancefloors I’ve ever witnessed at a wedding. Ellie Sax providing the saxophone filled dance music soundtrack to the night. Glitter everywhere and lots of dancefloor action to bring this amazing wedding to a conclusion!!
