We're delving into the summer archives today ... Its -2 outside as I write this and need to remember what heat felt like! Ive not had chance to to get this on the blog yet and now seems the perfect time!
Its mid August and this is the first of three weddings in three days for me and im off to Forever Green in Mansfield for my first wedding at this lovely venue. Its a mixed bag of rain and sunshine today so the umbrellas are packed just in case!
Forever Green is a restaurant/wedding venue nestled in between 70 acres of woodland just on the outskirts of mansfield. I met Jo and Mike here for a pre shoot a few weeks before the big day so we could have a scout round together and plan the big day! Its certainly smack in the middle of woodland and if you dont mind a bit of walking you can find some great locations!
After a brief stop at Jo's home for a few bridal prep shots, its off to Forever Green. We did have plans to take a few shots of the groom at the local pub but after half an hour of waiting I gathered he must be running late (well i hoped so!) and headed over to the venue! Mike turned up about 20 minutes before the ceremony ... Thank god!
The rain didnt appear until the speeches later in the day which meant I captured most of the photos in glorious sunshine even though my favourite two photos of the day were actually captured during a deluge (Check out the umbrella shot and Jo & Mike sheltering in a smoking shed!)
Jo and Mike took to the floor to close a stunning day here at Forever Green
